Congratulations to the 9 teams/films listed above. These films comprise the winners for the 13 categories. On this evening we'll show all of the above films, and then hand out the award certificates, as well as the 4 audience awards certificates. The Best Film award will first receive a certificate, and after 48HFP's Filmapalooza in The U.S., the Best Film Trophy will be shipped to Kaohsiung, probably late 2011 or early 2012.

近日由於桑達颱風影響，而困擾要不要延期？
經開會結果，不變！決定如期舉行5/27-5/29！

不過,煩請仔細閱讀下列條文
參賽過程中,
1. 無論颱風侵台與否,煩請特別注意加強自身安全
2. 煩請做好團隊與個人自身風災防範相關措施,ㄧ切以安全考量為優先原則
3. 拍攝期間,如有任何傷亡意外情形發生,恕自行負責
4. 煩請配合拍片支援中心與當地人員指示進行拍攝活動(開幕典禮會有更進ㄧ步的說明)
5. 如因桑達颱風來襲影響,要取消參賽資格,申請退組人員,請於5/26 18:00來信註明(Refund,「隊名」要退費),來信請至kaohsiung@48hourfilm.com ,將全額退費-$3,750元

After meetings with the Kaohsiung Film Center, and feedback from numerous teams, it is of the consensus that we should continue as planned. The competition will be held starting on the 27th.

We would like to vehemently stress that all teams please pay attention to proper safety precautions. As per the team leader's agreement, the safety of all team members is the responsibility of each team's leader. At the kickoff meeting, the... folks at the Film Center will give some instructions as to where teams can and cannot film. They have procured permits for this weekend only for teams to access certain otherwise inaccessible locations.

If the effects of inclement weather is a deterrent to your team, you may inform us that you wish to withdraw from the competition, and we will refund 100% of your entry fee. Please notify us by email before May 26 of your intent to withdraw. If we don't receive any notification, we'll assume you intend to compete.

我們又改變電影風格了。去年的兄弟片、劇情片、黑色電影、公路電影和默片已經不再適用。取而代之的是流行的黑色喜劇、偵探片/警匪片、歷史劇和超級英雄電影風格。為了慶祝本活動的十周年紀念，我們創造了新的風格：週年紀念/生日。最後一項，但也同樣重要的風格就是：歌舞片或西部片！

在開幕典禮你會抽到你電影的風格，如果不要這個風格，你可以抽“王牌風格“。一旦你抽了“王牌風格“，就不能換回來了。

女性電影 (Film de Femme)

從沒聽說過女性電影嗎？因為這是我們發明的名詞！此一風格是48HFP專為鼓勵參賽者在48HFP電影中拍攝堅強的女性角色而設計。女性電影是指以一位或多位堅強女性人物為題材所拍攝的電影。此一體裁的風格包括浪漫喜劇或「愛情文藝片」，但這只是其中的一個子集。什麼是堅強的女性角色呢？想想《鴻孕當頭》(Juno) 這部電影的女主角艾倫佩姬 (Ellen Page)、《揮灑烈愛》(Frida)中的莎瑪海耶克(Salma Hayek)、《風流教師霹靂妹》(Election)中的瑞絲·薇斯朋(Reese Witherspoon)，或《永不妥協》(Erin Brockovich)中的茱莉亞蘿勃茲 (Julia Roberts)。片中的主角既堅強、聰明又性格複雜。與一般大眾看法相反的是，強悍的女性角色並不需要殺人！

2011 Genres

We've changed up our genres again. Buddy Film, Drama, Film Noir, Road Movie, and Silent Film have been retired for the year. In their places we've brought back popular genres Dark Comedy, Detective/Cop, Period Piece, and Superhero. To celebrate our tenth birthday, we've created the new genre: Anniversary/Birthday. And last but but not least: Musical or Western!

At the kickoff, you will draw the random genre for your film. If you are not happy with your random choice, you can opt to draw from the 'wild card' genres. But, once you choose the wild card genre, you cannot change back to your original drawing!!!

Film de Femme

Never heard of a Film de Femme? That's because we invented it! This genre is specifically designed by the 48HFP to encourage strong roles for females in 48HFP films. A Film de Femme is a film featuring one or more strong female characters. Romantic comedies or "chick flicks" are included in this genre, but are only a subset. What's a strong female character? Think Ellen Page in “Juno”, Salma Hayek in “Frida”, Reese Witherspoon in “Election”, or Julia Roberts in “Erin Brockovich”. The lead character is strong, smart and complicated. And contrary to public opinion, strong women characters are not required to kill someone!

2. 2011 Wild Card Genres

After genres have been selected, filmmakers will be given the option to trade in their genre for a Wild Card Genre. Once you switch, you can't switch back! Wild Card Genres will be randomly assigned to each city. See the list of possible Wild Card genres below.

Introduction

In May 2001, Mark Ruppert came up with a crazy idea: to try to make a film in 48 hours. He quickly enlisted his filmmaking partner, Liz Langston, and several other DC filmmakers to form their own teams and join him in this experiment. The big question back then was: "Would films made in only 48 hours even be watchable?"

The answer was a resounding “yes”, and now ten years later and with more than 150 competitions having taken place around the world, it is amazing to consider the success of the Project. Over the years, the Project has expanded to China, Japan, Australia and Europe. 2011 marks the first time for Kaohsiung and Taiwan!

WHAT IT IS

The 48 Hour Film Project is a wild and sleepless weekend in which you and a team make a movie—write, shoot, edit and score it—in just 48 hours.

On Friday night, you get a character, a prop, a line of dialogue and a genre, all to include in your movie. 48 hours later, the movie must be complete. Then it will show at a local theater, usually in the next week.

Our smallest team has consisted of one person who sets up the camera then runs in front to “act”. Our largest team to date was a team with 116 people and 30 horses! We've had about 12,500 teams in the Project over the years, and at 15 people per team, that translates to about 200,000 people who have participated in making a 48-hour movie.

在2001年5月馬克魯珀特有一個瘋狂的想法：設法在48個小時內拍一部電影。他徵召了他的夥伴利茲蘭斯頓，及其他幾位來自華盛頓特區的製片組成他們自己的團隊並加入這個實驗。大問題是：“48小時之內可以拍出賞心悅目的電影嗎？”

這個答案是“可以”，而在十年後的現在，全球超過150個國家都參與了這個比賽，這個活動非常的成功。自2001年以來，48小時電影比賽擴展到中國，日本，澳洲和歐洲。2011年將是第一次在台灣高雄舉辦！

48小時電影比賽計劃是狂放的，你和你的團隊將於48小時內撰寫劇本、拍攝、剪輯、以及寫電影配樂！

在星期五晚上，你會分配到一個電影角色、一樣道具、一句台詞和風格，全部都要呈現在你的電影裡面。48個小時之後，完成這部電影。下個星期它即將會在一個電影院上映。

我們的最小的團隊是一個人！他設好攝影機之後跑到攝影機前開始表演。我們的最大的隊迄今是與 116個人和30匹馬一隊！我們在48小時電影比賽活動多年來有大約 12,500隊，平均每隊 15個人。相當於參加了48小時電影比賽計劃的總共約20萬人！

The 48 Hour Film Project will come to Kaohsiung for the first time in 2011. Filmmakers from all over the Kaohsiung area will compete to see who can make the best short film in only 48 hours. The winning film will go up against films from around the world for the title "Best 48 Hour Film of 2011"!

48小時電影比賽計劃將於 2011年首次亮相高雄。來自高雄的電影人將翹首以待，看誰能在48小時之內奪得最佳電影短片獎。各城市的獲獎影片將與來自世界各地的優秀電影角逐“2011年最佳48小時電影”獎項!!!!
